USB Transmission and Charging Differences
 Jan 30, 2024|View:63

(A) the use of the difference: USB cable used as a cell phone and computer direct data transfer bridge,

while the charging cable is used for charging. In the use of USB cable can be used as a charging cable,

but the charging cable can not be connected to the phone and the computer as a data transfer function.

(B)

Red wire: positive power supply (identified as: +5V or VCC on the wiring)

Green wire: Positive voltage data wire (identified as: Data+ or USB Port +)

Cell phone charging cable wiring

Black wire: ground (identified as: GROUND or GND)

(C) the difference in appearance: the USB port has a contact piece of the side up, look at the number of

contacts in the USB port, as long as 2 contacts for the charging line, there are 4 contacts for the data line,

but there are some shady producers in order to disrupt the ear, deliberately made 4 contacts and the

internal but only 2 with the line (power VCC and GND line).

USB data cable, the internal composition contains: power VCC line, GND line, two communication lines,

and remove the two communication lines for the charging line. After disassembling the cable head to pick

out the internal wires, it can be subdivided. Normally, red is the power VCC line, black is the ground GND

line, and the two communication lines are normally distinguished by green and white.

Identify the data line or charging line approach: can be accessed through the computer to see if the data

can be read normally, can that is the data line, and vice versa for the charging line. Or you can look at the

number of USB port contacts, but the above also indicates that some black-hearted merchants will be false concealment. Therefore, Zui practical way is still directly into the computer to identify.
